IPTV World Series Awards 2007 Shortlist

The first edition of the IPTV World Series Awards, showcasing the best solutions for television-over-IP, will take place at the IPTV World Forum 2007.  Winners of the awards will be announced on 6th March 2007. 

Independent judges from the following publications and organisations will review the companies shortlisted and pick a winner: New Video Technology, 3Vision, Cable & Satellite Europe, Ovum, informitv, Telecommunications International, Broadband TV News, IPTV News Analyst, IMS Research and Strategy Analytics.

Companies shortlisted for the IPTV World Series Awards 2007

Up for the prize of Best IPTV Platform Management/Middleware/Application Solution are Quative Ltd (Kudelski Group) with Quative IPTV SDP2.0, Microsoft with Microsoft TV IPTV Edition and ANT Software Limited with ANT Galio Client .

Shortlisted for Best IPTV Distribution/Transport/Delivery Solution are Harmonic Inc with their Harmonic ArmadaŽ Intelligent Asset Manager, Ruckus Wireless with Ruckus Wireless MediaFlex NG and BitBand with BitBand Maestro 4.1.

Nominees for the Best IPTV Headend & Video Processing Technology award are Tandberg with the TANDBERG iPlex UltraCompression HD and SD IPTV Headend, Harmonic Inc with the Harmonic DiviComŽ Electra 7000 HD H.264 encoder and Grass Valley.

Contenders for the prize of Best IPTV Customer premise Equipment Technology are Tilgin with IMS@Home, Amino with the Amino AmiNET125 IP Set-Top Box and Advanced Digital Format S.A. with ADB-3800TW.

Shortlisted for the award of Best IPTV Content Protection/Rights Management Solution are Verimatrix Inc with VCAST for IPTV 2.0, Harmonic Inc with ProStream 100 with ProCipher Scrambling Technology and Irdeto with the Irdeto IPTV Scrambler.
